She digs into the gaping hole

She tears at tissue
She rips
She yanks
With three fingers in a left hand it is hard to pull
She feeds a hunger
That is unbearable
Ever present
And swallows herself

Her zombie lover stands before her
With dead eyes staring at nothing
No eyes
Gone
Yanked out when she ripped out his nose
To munch on when she turned him

She understands
It is time to search
To fulfill a need
A hunger
Ever present

With superhuman strength
She, stronger of the two
Rips the door open and flings it upwards
It kisses the perpetual flame of the sun
Then clangs and bangs 80 yards away
She sees an infant in a car seat
Chubby fists waving in anger at a dead reckoning
Legs kicking
Sky-blue eyes overflowing with liquid life
A lost life
A nevermore life
A long gone life
A short life

She rips the infant from the car seat
And pushes zombie lover away as he grunts for a morsel
To begin a rapid walk away from him
He groans after her as if saying, “Bitch!”
She moans and groans back as if saying, “Fuck you!”

Never realizing the infant suffocated as it was pressed into her
Gaping maw
A surreal breastfeeding
Dead thing
Legs dangling
As she runs down an abandoned celler
Into darkness
To feed on a succulent plumpy-cheeked dead thing
The groans of ecstacy and satiated hunger
Attract zombie lover
And he trips down the black maw
Into loving arms
